What is the rental fee?
For Saturday events, the rental fee is $3,800. For events on Friday and Sunday, the rental fee is $2,800. For events Monday through Thursday, the rental fee is $2,200. Holiday weekends are higher in price, please inquire if you are looking at a holiday weekend. We offer discounts for registered charities and professional organizations — please ask for that pricing when booking your tour.
What is included in the rental fee?
The Vox charges a flat fee for the space. Saturday rental rates include the use of the Theatre for 6 event hours and 3 hours of preparation as well as 1 uniformed security guard. Week day rentals receive 5 event hours and 3 hours of preparation and 1 uniformed security guard.
May I bring my own alcohol?
Yes. You may provide alcohol for your event or work with your caterer. Licensed bartenders are required for every event serving alcohol. A temporary permit is required to resell alcohol on the premises. Guests are not allowed to bring in their own alcohol separate from the alcohol served at the bar.
Keg beer is recommended. No person under the age of 21 is allowed to consume alcohol on the Vox premises.
May I bring in an outside caterer?
Yes, all independent vendors are welcomed. Please consider using Deco Catering, our immediate next door neighbor. They are fabulous.
Do you have tables, chairs and linens?
The Vox Theatre will supply 24-66″ round tables, 12 rectangular tables, 8 cocktail tables, four large wood rolling tables and 200 white folding chairs. We will arrange for the provision of additional chairs, linens and any other rental items you may need for your event.
May we have our wedding ceremony at the Vox Theatre?
Yes, we welcome all ceremonies. We suggest adding 1 hour for the ceremony.
You may purchase additional rental hours at $150 per hour if needed.
When is my full payment due?
The balance of the rental fee is due 45 days prior to the event. All additional service fees, rentals, and refundable damage deposit are due two weeks prior to the event date. The refundable $500.00 damage deposit will be refunded the week following your event.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, payment can be made with a credit card, check or cash.
How do I reserve the space?
To reserve a date, we ask for a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. You can contact our event manager at 913.730.6110, or firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
